In order to carry out all the projects that Kiwanis is involved with throughout
the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees.
| ACE | Selects the awardees for the Agriculture award, and the Conservation / Environment award presented by the club each year. Sponsors/ organizes the FFA luncheon where outstanding students receive a "Sassman" certificate. | Citizenship | The Citizenship Committee has a number of monthly programs: conducting Oakwood Village Bingo for nursing home residents, cooking and serving a Saturday meal at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, and volunteering with the Red Cross Bloodmobile. It also provides the Salvation Army with volunteer bell-ringers twice a year, does Highway 19 clean-up twice a year, volunteers at the Independent Living annual Ice Cream Social, and volunteers for Wisconsin Public Television pledge/membership drives twice | Carroll Heideman, Patricia Eldred |
| Golf | The golf committee plans and executes our club's annual golf outing. The Downtown Madison Kiwanis Annual Golf Outing was started by long-time member, Herman Freymiller, in 1989. | YCPO/Youth Services | Works to provide enriching and fun educational experiences for preschool through high school age children in the Madison area. Our priority is providing resources to low-income, minority and special needs children to help them to achieve their potential.
